Band

Welcome! We are excited to share that the elementary band program will continue thanks to the generous, continuous support of the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation (RBEF). The 5th grade band teachers are Mrs. Zoetewey and Mr. Buchen. We are a traveling team, visiting each school site twice each week to provide high quality music instruction. By working together, we are able to focus on specific instruments in smaller groups, giving students more focused attention and instruction.

Thanks for a great year, have a wonderful summer!

Printable Information:
Some students who have been participating in the certificate "tests" and/or who take private lessons are ready to try and play more familiar songs.
Most of the local stores have these solo books for purchase (usually sorted by instrument in the store).  Look for the word "Easy" on the front cover and to be safe, have the student look through the book to be sure they know most of the notes.
To the left is a link for a Clarinet Disney solo book on Amazon to give you an idea.  Be sure to get the correct instrument!  Harry Potter and Star Wars music is also very popular...
