Battle of the Books

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Alta Vista Book Battle, it is an exciting “tournament of reading.” Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are provided with a list of 16 book titles that they are encouraged to read.  In the spring, they will join their fellow qualifying readers in a battle to answer questions about what they have read.

This program is completely voluntary and should be looked at as a new and fun way to experience great literature. There are no tests, reports or assignments due! Just remember that reading is one of the best ways to relax and enjoy the weekends break!
