About Me
As a South Bay native, I am grateful to teach in such a wonderful community. I grew up locally in the city of Torrance. I received my Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies from the University of Dominguez Hills and my Masters in Education. I started my teaching career at Alta Vista in 1998.
I come from a family of teachers. My mom is a retired teacher from Lincoln in Redondo Beach, my oldest sister is a 3rd grade teacher in Wiseburn, and my sister (Mrs. Hoyem) teacherhere at Alta Vista.
I am married to my wonderful husband Mike and we have two lovely children, Hunter and Sierra, who attend school in Redondo Beach. In our free time, we love to watch movies, attend sporting events, and travel.
