Rita’s Fundraiser – Wednesday, January 11th
Join us on Wednesday, January 11th from 1:30 – 3:30 at Rita’s Italian Ice at 403 N. PCH in Redondo Beach. Just mention Alta Vista or bring the flyer and Rita’s will generously donate 100% of the proceeds during this time to Alta Vista! Hands on Art will be displaying your kids art work at Rita's so look out for an email from your docent.
PTA Meeting & Common Core Math Presentation – Friday, January 20th
Please join us for our 1st PTA Meeting of 2017 at 8:00 in the Cafeteria on January 20th. Coffee and light breakfast will be served. Also, don’t miss an engaging presentation by Mrs. Wildes on Common Core Math principles, which will allow parents to obtain first-hand knowledge of some of the common core principles that our students are now learning.
Congratulation to Alta Vista Reflections Contest Winners!
The following Alta Vista students received awards for their Reflections contest submissions at the Redondo Beach Council PTA level, which includes all schools in RBUSD:
- Jonathan Creado – Frist Place for Literature
- Hailey Johnston – First Place for Film
- Micha McFadden – Third Place for Music
- Nikolai Ivanov – Third Place for Dance
Congratulations to all of these amazing artists and thank you to all of the students for their submissions! We are so proud of you. First place winners will go on to the next level to compete with all of the schools in the 33rd District of California State PTA. Good luck Jonathan & Hailey!
