COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS

Building Our College-Going Culture

Our Redondo Beach Unified School District has a vision that all of our Redondo Beach students will exit our doors at twelfth grade graduation academically prepared for college, a career, and to be productive and contributing members of our society. Our goal is for all students to meet the A-G requirements. It is never too early for parents and schools to begin the discussion of college and goal setting with our children. What are your child’s goals, dreams, and/or plans for the future? How can you help them plan? Together, we can support our children down the path to their personal and academic success. We are currently taking steps to strengthen our college-going culture at the elementary, middle, and high school level. A big thank you to our Redondo Beach Educational Foundation for providing our District with the support for our College-Going Culture Mission through resources that make it all possible.

Got Pennants?

You may have noticed college pennants displayed in our cafeteria. We would LOVE to build on this and display more pennants all around our campus for students to enjoy! If you would like to donate your alma mater’s pennant to be displayed at Alta Vista, please bring it to our front school office and we would be proud to display it!
